Michigan College and University Professional Association for Human Resources

The Michigan College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (MI-CUPA-HR) is a vehicle for promoting closer cooperation between Human Resources professionals at colleges and universities in the State of Michigan for the purpose of advancing the practice of personnel and human resource administration in higher education.

To that end, MI-CUPA-HR serves as an umbrella organization within which Institutional Human Resource Professionals are able to:

  • Interact with their peers to promote professionalism in the field of personnel and human resource administration;
  • Facilitate research and an exchange of ideas in personnel and human resource administration; and
  • Engage in professional development opportunities through conferences, seminars, workshops and the exchange of concepts and programs in personnel and human resource administration.

Membership

Each chartered higher educational institution in Michigan, whether public or private, two-year or four-year, may establish membership in the Association by request. Each Institutional Member has one vote in assembly on any matters properly placed before the membership.

Any person who has personnel and human resource administration responsibility in an institution of higher education or division thereof in the State of Michigan is eligible for non-voting membership.
